Pramod K. Varshney, distinguished professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, will be honored with the 2021 IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS) Pioneer Award. Given annually since 1949, the award is one of the most notable awards in the electronics and aerospace systems field, recognizing contributions significant to bringing into being systems that are still in existence today.
