The Office of Research is pleased to announce the internal competition for Syracuse University’s single nomination of one Assistant or Associate Professor for the 2019 Brain Research Foundation Fay/Frank Seed Grant Program (BRF Seed Grant).
The purpose of this program is to provide start-up monies for junior faculty engaged in new and innovative pilot research projects in the field of neuroscience that will likely lead to extramural funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) or other outside funding sources.

- Full-time Assistant or Associate Professors, working in the area of studies of brain function. This includes molecular and clinical neuroscience as well as studies of neural, sensory, motor, cognitive, behavioral and emotional functioning in health and disease.
- PI is ineligible if they are a research assistant professor or research associate professor.
- The grant proposal must detail a new research project that is not funded by other sources.
- BRF Seed Grant is not intended to serve as bridge funding between grants.
